Teens Worst Nightmare: Public Speaking

Hey guys! Today I am going to write a short post on teens worst nightmare: Public speaking. I will add a few shorts tips, and how to get over the fear of public speaking.

The number one tip that I think anyone will give you when talking about public speaking will be, do it. When nervous about getting up in front of people, take opportunities that you get to do this. Wether it be playing an instrument in your church, or giving a speech, you will be glad that you did it afterward.

When you are preparing to stand in front of people, be well prepared. Being prepared will cause you to be less nervous and will give your audience something better to listen to. What helps me when preparing to speak in front of people is to practise my speech or presentation on my family before I present it.

What also helps me is to listen closely to good speakers when they are speaking. Pick out the things that you like in their speech, and apply them to when you speak. 

Take your time when you are on stage, don’t rush your speech or performance because your audience will notice when you rush. I know that when you are on stage, that longer you are there, the more nervous you get, but take your time to give the audience a better presentation.

Relax before entering the stage. Focus on your breathing, and go over what you are presenting before you get on stage. The better you prepare yourself before hand, the better you will do on stage.
